LASFS Banner and Slogan

During the 60's the club began a "Building Fund". Under the stewardship of Paul Turner and later Bruce Pelz, the fund grew until in 1973 the club was able to buy a property on Ventura Blvd. and turn it into a clubhouse.

In 1977 the LASFS replaced it with a larger clubhouse at the current location in North Hollywood. The current property consists of two buildings: Freehafer Hall and Building 4SJ (named after Forrest J Ackerman), with Freehafer Hall being the main meeting room and Building 4SJ housing the library, the computers, the kitchen (small but useful) and a small gathering place outside the library.
